Bodega Artadi是 Rioja產區裡的頂尖王牌酒莊之ㄧ，地理條件具有令人驚喜的條件，葡萄種植於凉爽的高海拔地區，釀出非常值得關注的葡萄酒。雖然酒廠的歷史只有短短的二十幾年，但是莊主 Juan Carlos 一心一意只以釀造最高品質的酒為目標。採取果實較少的老樹，經過較長時間和高溫去萃取果皮內的單寧、香氣和色素等，更在橡木桶內作長時間陳釀，成釀出來的酒體飽滿厚實有力，甚至被 Parker評 為「所喝過最龐大最有力量的 Rioja」。
風土正是是讓這些葡萄酒們在風味上有所差異的原因！Artadi 因為強調單ㄧ葡萄田的概念，每款酒都是統一由一個區塊的葡萄所釀造的，而每個田因為日照時間(白天日照叫和煦、下午日照炙熱)不同，向陽方位，土壤類別的不同等，所結成的葡萄就有著不同的酸度與糖分，因此造成每款酒在風味的表現有著顯著的差異，風土是莊主Juan Carlos想要呈現的葡萄酒的原貌。
莊主 Juan Carlos 心目中最得意的作品除了 Grandes Añadas & Viña El Pison 之外,最理想的就是 Pagos Viejos ! 他非常專心關注於 Pagos Viejos 所有釀造技術和方式, Pagos Viejos 採用來自樹齡 80多歲的 Tempranillo老藤葡萄，以傳統的木桶發酵法釀造，酒味豐富濃郁，2007年和 2008年同時獲得 Robert Parker 95分。

Artadi Pagos Viejos 2007Robert Parker Tasting Notes: The 2007 Pagos Viejos is sourced from Artadi’s three best and most elevated vineyard sites, all planted to Tempranillo over 75 years of age. The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak. It sports a superb aromatic array of toasty new oak, pencil lead, violets, incense, black cherry, and blueberry. Elegant, ripe, and velvety on the palate, it has superb depth and concentration, savory flavors, a firm structure, and a 45-second finish (餘味可達45秒之久). Give it 6-8 years of additional bottle age and drink it from 2016 to 2032.

Artadi Pagos Viejos 2008Robert Parker Tasting Notes: The 2008 Pagos de Viejas was selected from three of the estate’s finest and most elevated sites with all of the vines over 75 years of age. The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak. Deeply colored, it offers up a superb nose of pain grille, pencil lead, Asian spices, incense, and assorted black fruits. Rich, layered, and beautifully proportioned, this lengthy effort will evolve for 5-7 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2016 to 2028+.
