Bass Phillip酒莊上門來求酒出售的饕客，99%都是因為 Phillip Jones 的黑皮諾，Phillip Jones 現今已年高84歲了，他個人不僅是葡萄園莊主，也是酒莊釀酒師，不像其他大部分酒莊分工。也沒有向外買葡萄補充自己葡萄園的產量，緊密合作呈現出農夫與釀酒師兩個人不同想法的結合，如果好酒出自葡萄園而非酒莊，那麼種植葡萄的人就遠比釀酒師更重要了。 Phillip Jones 篤信釀酒師的工作只是承接上天的恩賜。他認為只要細心照料每一株葡萄樹，大自然就會把美好裝載到果實裡。
