Kistler Vineyards 酒莊創立於1978年，以釀造勃根地風格夏多內（Chardonnay）與黑皮諾（Pinot Noir）聞名，是一間小而美的家族酒莊。生產的 Chardonnay 和 Pinot Noir 優質酒足以與法國勃根地相提並論，經過將近四十年的努力，形容它為『美國白酒的沉默大師』。Steve Kistler 和 Mark Bixler 成為Kistler酒莊的兩大靈魂人物 !
Russian River 加州最適宜種黑皮諾的產區之一，其中 Russian River 更是菁英酒莊雲集：菁英酒莊Marcassin、Martinelli、Kistler、Pahlmeyer、Peter Michael都選擇 Russian 種黑皮諾， Russian River AVA是1983年成立的，位於海岸山脈與太平洋之間，氣候極為涼爽，葡萄晚熟、太平洋就在眼下，長年有霧，單位產量一向少，甚至有雨水困擾。Steve Kistler (Kistler莊主)看上的是無比價值的冷涼氣候，在 2013年8月，Steve Kistler選擇了 Russian River 產區的 Laguna Ridge 葡萄園地塊，只釀製頂級黑皮諾！
Russian River 最好的地塊種出最頂級的 Clones「克隆黑皮諾葡萄」 ，分布於Russian River產區低產量葡萄園，只有小小產量，最老的葡萄藤樹齡有29年，Kistler Vineyards以勃根地的傳統技藝釀成，以釀酒師的精巧手藝完美呈現了風土與品種之美。100%法國橡木新桶熟成14個月，將人工干預降至最低，不過濾澄清即裝瓶。Parker 說: Russian River Pinot Noir就像 Musigny的花香、漿果和草莓香。年產量僅僅200箱，簡直是可遇不可求! 完美地詮釋了 Russian River 產區的經典風格。平易近人、帶有強烈香氣以及鮮明的果味是兩大特色，具有讓人驚豔的優雅精緻以及活力!

Tasting Notes: Medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir offers dried cranberry, dried red and black cherries, cinnamon stick, tobacco leaf and charcuterie with notions of violets, orange peel, tree bark and earthy touches. Medium-bodied and silky, it’s youthfully coiled, hinting at latent flavor layers, sturdily framed by lightly chalky tannins and juicy freshness, finishing long and savory. This needs more time in bottle to unwind.
Our goal in crafting our Pinot Noirs is to capture the elusive Pinot character expressed in each of our exceptional coastal sites. We strive to produce elegant, harmonious wines which are impressive for their purity, balance, and lingering perfume. From these sites there is a progression of color and length of character as we move towards the coast.
