Tardieu-Laurent 位在法國南法Lourmarin地區非常小的村莊上,由於 Michel 對於葡萄酒的太過熱愛,終於有一天開始與布根地頂頂大名號稱木桶王精品酒商Dominique Laurent 結合,於西元1994年開始創立, 並完全交由 Michel Tardieu一人全權主導, 創造出精緻小產量頂尖酒款為主,Michel Tardieu 與擁有頂級老藤葡萄種植酒農一直有深厚良好的關係,靠著這股對葡萄酒熱誠和葡萄農的好人脈,只嚴選最好的地塊和種植葡萄酒農優質的葡萄,採用Dominique Laurent 自己生產最好的橡木桶來維持每年葡萄品質與釀造過程,另外Michel Tardieu 更請來了有Parker 隆河御用釀酒師之稱Philippe Cambie 做為釀酒顧問, 使Tardieu-Laurent 風格賦予更多元, 酒體濃郁且飽滿深厚且久於陳年.
大致而言教皇新堡使用葡萄品種多以格那希Greneche為主，Tardieu-Laurent 更是釀製 Greneche的好手中的好手。Greneche 晚熟的特性,適合種植於炎熱乾燥的環境，酸度單寧低，酒色較淺，釀造的酒帶有辛香料和豐富的莓漿果、胡椒，酒精濃度高卻有柔順的口感,表現淋漓盡致。

Robert Parker Tasting Notes : Superb and with loads of potential, the 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, with the Grenache aged in older barrel and the Syrah in new barrels) is more deep and layered than the Cuvee Speciale. Offering up impressive notes of mineral, new leather and smoky black fruits, this full-bodied, layered and textured 2012 has superb mid-palate depth, fine tannin and an all-around concentrated, backwards feel. It will require 3-4 years of bottle age and keep for 15 years or more. Robert Parker Tasting Notes :The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes Cuvee Speciale is composed primarily of Grenache with a touch of Cinsault. While the two previous Chateauneufs were made from destemmed fruit, this offering includes 100% stems. All from the famed La Crau parcel, it was made from 80-year old vines, and boasts 15% alcohol. Loads of pepper, garrigue, licorice, seaweed, and sweet currant, cherry, and plum-like fruit emerge from this full-bodied, fleshy, ripe, low acid Chateauneuf du Pape. Aged all in 3 to 5-year-old barrels, it is an elegant, yet rich and concentrated effort that will have 12-15 years of longevity.
