這個家族莊園於17世紀便存在, 在Pegau名稱出現前稱為Domaine Feraud, 直到1987年酒莊主人的女兒Laurence Feraud學成返家與父親連手經營酒莊, 酒莊正式更名為Pegau, 也開始了酒莊驚人的表現. Pegau是法國一種古老酒甕的名稱, 這種酒甕於14世紀時在Avignon的Popes Palace被使用, 現在這個名字,因這家酒莊而被許多人認識.相信許多酒友對這家(屁股)Domaine du Pégau.都不陌生,這家酒廠的好,相信也不用多做介紹!!!呵呵,因為名酒就是名酒!
The name Pegau (old Provencal word for a wine jug found in the excavations of the 14th century Popes Palace in Avignon) was created in 1987, when Laurence Feraud after her wine studies went home to help her father Paul Feraud at the domaine. Paul always talk about Laurence as “le chef”, but he is an experienced winemaker himself. The property has belonged to the family for several generations. From 1986 Paul Feraud started bottling of wine and sold it under the mark Domaine Feraud.
Today father and daughter have made Pegau to one of the best wines in Chateauneuf du Pape. They have 17 ha. with red varieties and 1 ha. with white grapes. The 11 parcels are spread around the appellation and gives different wines, which after the blending result in a very distinct wine, a true classic Chateuneuf du Pape. In the fields organic methods are used.

Pegau Laurune 2009Robert Parker Tasting Notes: Starting off the reds and easily the best example of this cuvee since the 2001, the 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Laurence is incredible stuff. Deep, rich and layered, with copious notions of smoked meats, licorice, ground pepper, spice and saddle leather, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, terrific fruit intensity and a rich, mouth-coating texture. Hard to resist now, it should nevertheless have two decades of longevity. Drink now-2029.
