相信許多酒友對這家 Domaine du Pégau.(屁股) 都不陌生, Cuvee Reserve 入門酒款,但在 Domaine du Pegau 精心釀造下,可說是相當傑出優異驚人,絕對可以拿它與其它頂級隆河酒莊相提並論,更是 Robert Parker 從 西元1979 年開始,自己每年必自掏荷包購買的隆河收藏的酒款之一,更可以在各大國際葡萄比賽和葡萄酒評論家,更是入選WS百大常勝軍!

Pegau 其酒莊歷史可追朔到西元1670年就開始有種植葡萄樹、橄欖樹的文獻紀錄,甚至到現在還有西元1733年 ~ 西元1987年之間僅存活著葡萄樹這個家族莊園於17世紀便存在, 在Pegau名稱出現前稱為Domaine Feraud, 直到1987年酒莊主人的女兒Laurence Feraud學成返家與父親連手經營酒莊, 酒莊正式更名為Pegau, 也開始了酒莊驚人的表現. Pegau是法國一種古老酒甕的名稱, 這種酒甕於14世紀時在Avignon的Popes Palace被使用, 現在這個名字又因這家酒莊而被許多人認識.
The name Pegau (old Provencal word for a wine jug found in the excavations of the 14th century Popes Palace in Avignon) was created in 1987, when Laurence Feraud after her wine studies went home to help her father Paul Feraud at the domaine. Paul always talk about Laurence as “le chef”, but he is an experienced winemaker himself. The property has belonged to the family for several generations. From 1986 Paul Feraud started bottling of wine and sold it under the mark Domaine Feraud.
Today father and daughter have made Pegau to one of the best wines in Chateauneuf du Pape. They have 17 ha. with red varieties and 1 ha. with white grapes. The 11 parcels are spread around the appellation and gives different wines, which after the blending result in a very distinct wine, a true classic Chateuneuf du Pape. In the fields organic methods are used.

採用 50~100 年間的老藤, 暗紅的色澤,酒體紮實而強韌散發出甜美成熟的黑醋栗果香,黑可可、菸草、肉桂、薰衣草與青草清香等複雜的香氣,層次緊實和複雜且極大富有多層次變化,單寧與果酸度做一個最完美的融和!!
Robert Parker Tasting Notes: Still not yet bottled, the 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Reservée checks in as a final blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 6% Mourvèdre and the rest other permitted grapes. Always fermented with 100% whole clusters and seeing upwards of 18-24 months in old foudre, it sports an excellent deep ruby color to go with lots of lavender, peppery herbs, black cherries and leather. Medium-bodied, nicely concentrated and forward with ripe tannin, it makes the most of this difficult vintage, but I suspect it is best consumed in its first 10-12 years of life.
Wine Spectator Tasting Notes: Steeped plum and blackberry paste flavors form the core, lined with smoldering charcoal and tobacco leaf notes. Reveals a light tarry edge on the finish, which pulls together nicely. A solid effort in this Grenache-hampered vintage. Drink now through 2025. 5,800 cases made.
