Chateau Léoville Las-Cases自古以來就有著超級二級酒莊的封號,更是位在級數酒莊密度最高的 Saint-Julien 村, Delon 家族監持釀酒品質下 Chateau Léoville Las-Cases 品質都是相當地穩定及值得信任. Léoville Las-Cases 選用的葡萄相當嚴格, 所以早期很多都被打下作為Clos du Marquis(Las-Cases二軍), 也讓Clos du Marquis在國際葡萄酒市場上的能見度極高,由於Delon對於品管的要求甚高，在波爾多地區恐無人能比。以採收葡萄為例，本園每公頃平均收成四千公升，然而在極佳的年份，Delon 將收成的一半淘汰；又如在1990年這樣優秀的年份，其淘汰率高達六成七。Las-Cases 高淘汰率策略之下,讓Delon不僅擁有最好的二軍酒 (Clos du Marquis)，這也就是Clos du Marquis 是 Delon 值得傲人之處。除 Latour 二軍酒小拉圖之外，幾乎無人能比，難怪神之雫漫畫敘述：雖是二軍酒，以它的潛力遠遠凌駕於普通級數的葡萄酒。
自西元1904年開始,Clos du Marquis 一直擔負著Chateau Léoville Las-Cases 二軍酒偉大重要使命，歷經將近一百年的歷史，這個重大使命終於在2007年正式卸下,Clos du Marquis 正式成為波爾多完全獨立酒莊。

Clos Du Marquis 2000Wine Spectator Tasting Notes: The nose shows loads of plum, spice and meat aromas, as well as hints of licorice. It’s full-bodied, with firm, yet velvety textured tannins. It’s big and rounded. If you can’t afford Las Cases, try some of this. Some might call this a second wine, but it comes from a plot of vineyards not deemed worthy of Léoville Las Cases. So it’s like its own estate. Best after 2009. 20,000 cases made.
Robert Parker Tasting Notes: One of the great sleepers of the vintage and probably the best Clos de Marquis I have ever tasted, this wine could easily compete with many of the vintage’s classified growths. Dense, opaque purple-colored, with creme de cassis, vanilla, and cherry notes, medium to full body, an unctuous texture, low acidity, and a more evolved style than its bigger sibling, Leoville Las Cases, this dense, chewy, remarkably concentrated and stylish wine should be at its best between 2005 and 2021.
