Chateau Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2015Robert Parker Tasting Note: The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc offers classic, gorgeous notes of buttered citrus, honeycomb, stone fruits and hints of pineapple. It’s a fresh, medium to full-bodied, elegant white that will put on a touch of weight by the time it’s bottled; it will have to ability to drink well for 3-4 years and keep for decades.
Antonio Galloni, Vinous Tasting Notes: Light yellow. Mineral-accent orange, melon and poached pear on the highly perfumed nose, backed by a hint of smokiness. Offers juicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors, along with hints of bitter quinine and honey that build slowly with air. Shows impressive depth as well as energy on the finish, which hangs on with strong minerally persistence.
