在勃根地的白酒，Montrachet 蒙哈榭特級園排名世界第一，但是由於蒙哈榭價格過於昂貴，實在難以為葡萄酒愛好者接受。巴塔蒙哈榭 Bâtard -Montrachet 位於蒙哈榭園的南邊，面積共11.86公頃，氣候條件與蒙哈榭園大同小異，但土壤則比較多石灰岩和黏土，在某些好的年份甚至具有與蒙哈榭酒媲美的實力，但價格卻為平易親近，可說是愛好勃根地老饕酒友最佳選擇!
Burgundy 一共有六個白酒 Grand Cru，其中有四個就位於Puligny Montrachet，分別是 Chevalier Montrachet 、Batard Montrachet 、Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet 和 Le Montrachet (今日主角 Batard Montrachet )、 其餘的兩個 Grand Cru是 Corton Charlemagne 及 Criots Batard Montrachet，分別位於 Corton 及 Chassagne Montrachet。可見 Montrachet 白酒在 Burgundy 的偉大重要性。
在布根地有「白酒第一名莊」之美譽的，就是 Domaine Leflaive – Leflaive 家族在布根地的活動, 早在西元 1580年即開始. 就像任何一個布根地家族一樣, 因為繼承與分家等因素, 或者成為公司後所有權的分散與治理, 物業終究因歷史而更動. Domaine Leflaive 原先由 Anne-Claude Leflaive 與 Olivier Leflaive 共同領軍 (Anne-Claude的父親 Vincent老莊主, 也是 Oliver 的伯父) 但家族決定將 Domaine 與 Negociant 的生意分開, 自此 Olivier Leflaive 在產權與治理獨立. 長期在 Domaine Leflaive 的磨練和耳濡目染，經過幾年的努力，從1990年代起，Olivier Leflaive 已被視為布根地最頂尖的白酒生產者之一；在 Wine Advocate、Wine Spectator，以及 Burghound 等專業美國媒體都給予極好的 評價。而法國兩大著名葡萄酒專業品評媒體 Guide Bettane et Desseauve des vins de France 評鑑四星等級(伯恩丘內四星只有4家, Olivier Leflaive則是其中一家 )，La Revue du Vin de France評價為二星(最高三星)。由此可知，Olivier Leflaive 無疑地已是勃根地白酒中的佼佼者！而精彩的白酒，比起紅酒，更令人難以忘懷！！
Olivier Leflaive have both their own Domaines as well as having close relationships with many of Burgundy’s top growers from whom they purchase either grapes or must. Some of these growers are ‘artists’ whose passion is as much their vines as their wines, a guarantee that Olivier Leflaive insists on when sourcing grapes, ensuring that the highest standards are met to uphold the reputation of the great vineyards and Climats of Burgundy. Batard Montrachet sits on flat portion of the hillside evenly dispersed between the villages of Puligny and Chassagne. Bordered by Bienvenues-Batard and Criots-Batard on either side and it’s most famous sibling Le Montrachet a stones throw up the hill Batard is known for it’s majestic, powerful and age worthy wines.
位於蒙哈榭 (Montrachet) 的東南邊， Bâtard-Montrachet 如同蒙哈榭 (Montrachet) 分布於 Chassagne-Montrachet 和 Puligny-Montrachet 兩個村莊中間：該葡萄園具有向東的向陽坡度，稍微向南彎曲，位於海拔240至250公尺的高度。上方的坡度有著排水性良好且相當厚的一層堆積物，加上(Bathonian limestone 石灰岩土質) ,通常會釀製出較為厚實的葡萄酒, 飽滿紮實的酒體。
Domaine Olivier Leflaive Batard-Montrachet 2006Tasing Notes: The Olivier Leflaive Batard Montrachet sourced from 4 separate suppliers two from the Puligny side and two from the Chassagne side. Vines are densely planted and vines average older than 45 years. Grapes are sorted, pressed and vinified entirely in Allier oak barrel, 30% of which is new. The wine is aged in the cellars for 12 months where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and sees frequent stirring of the lees. Following the aging process each barrel is racked and the final blending occurs.
