近年來波爾多紅酒已成為最受歡迎的葡萄酒，而 Medoc產區更是盛名遠播，除了Ch. Latour, Lafite, Margaux, Mouton, Cos, Las- Case, Pichon-Laland….等60支於1855年列入前五等級的Grand Cru Classe以外，但除了這些頂級貴族之外,在Medoc 區有許多中級酒莊(Cru Bourgeois)，品質也早已達到Grand Cru Classe的水準,然而我們今天要介紹的 Chateau Campillot就是其中的一家, Chateau Campillot 位於 Medoc Saint Germain d’Esteui 村內，是梅多克地區的一個極小酒莊。Chateau Campillot 是由法國波爾多頂尖四級酒莊 Chateau Branaire-Ducru 的釀酒師讓 Jean-Dominique Videau 和葡萄釀植專家 Tristan Ordons of Roze 共同創建於2005年。Dominique Videau 將 Chateau Branaire-Ducru 四級莊的釀酒技術100%運用到 Chateau Campillot 來釀造，很多人稱之繼 ，值得大家期待!!
要入選 中級酒莊 Cru Bourgeois 並不容易，需要突破重重關卡，因此這是一道對品質的官方認可。該酒款憑藉著優越的品質，達到了中級酒莊全部評審的一系列規範標準，通過一整套嚴格的審查程序，Chateau Campillot 多年在中級酒莊Cru Bourgeois 名單榜上有名! 它就是這樣一款來自波爾多梅多克中級酒莊【Crus Bourgeois du Médoc】 。
Chateau Campillot 至今只擁有約九公頃的葡萄園，葡萄園主要為黏土和石灰質粘土，目前種植 Cabernet Sauvignon 、Merlot 、 Cabernet Franc 和 Petit Verdot ，葡萄樹齡平均超過25~35年。Chateau Campillot 酒莊的葡萄比照 Chateau Branaire-Ducru ，100%人工採摘，釀酒時運用低溫發酵技術，採用小桶發酵，個別培醞。發酵完成的葡萄酒會在20%法國全新橡木桶內陳釀12個月，然後再裝瓶上市。Chateau Campillot 酒莊釀造的葡萄酒具有單寧柔順，口感均衡，酒體多層次複雜的特點。
A property to watch, winemaker and director of 4th Growth St Julien, Ch. Branaire-Ducru, Jean-Dominique Videau is now proprietor of his own, small, exciting new property in the northern Médoc. He has taken the quality of Branaire to new heights and has done the same with Ch. Campillot. He describes this estate as his ‘second passion’ (after Branaire of course) and the results even in his first vintage, albeit a great one, are staggering. One to watch!

Chateau Campillot Medoc 2009Tasting Notes: A classic Medoc with a good core of juicy fruit with a harmonious body. Fruit is deliciously ripe with a fleshy palate and integrated oak spice. Soft tannins lead into a long finish. ( 豐富的黑色水果、無花果、土壤、皮革、煙草、辛香料、橡木酒體多層次複雜,單寧柔順，口感均衡，尾韻猶長)
A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, split equally, with 2% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines are closely planted and are on average over 25 years old. Showing a classic Médoc character, the grapes for the wine are pressed in an old vertical press and after small, relatively low temperature batch fermentations, the wines are aged in French oak: 20% new. Ripe, complex fruit character with a fleshy palate and integrated oak spice.

Château Campillot Medoc 2010Tasting Notes: This is a terrific wine from another estate that has a consistent record of excellence for close to two decades. The blend in 2010 is 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest mostly Cabernet Franc with just a touch of Petit Verdot. This wine became famous because of its extraordinarily long, pre-fermentation cold soak of over two weeks. The wine is a big, rich, sleeper of the vintage with loads of blackberry and floral-infused blueberry fruit.The 2010 is medium to full-bodied, pure, quite fragrant and capable of lasting at least a decade.
