據悉在西元1853年左右，Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A.（簡稱BPDR），羅斯柴爾德家族就已經總共累積了，相當60萬億美元的財富…..號稱全球最富有的摩根家族，在二戰時期其實是羅斯柴爾德家族投資的。在19世紀的歐洲，羅斯柴爾德幾乎成了金錢和財富的代名詞，也是地球上最為神秘的古老家族!
二次世界大戰後，詹姆斯·羅斯柴爾德 (James de Rothschild) 決定將Waddesdon沃德斯登莊園贈與英國國家信託基金會(National Trust)，包括大部分藝術藏品和一片花園，在1959 年開始由他的遺孀Dorothy掌管這座莊園，開放給民眾及觀光客參觀，目前在Waddesdon古堡莊園內，陳列許多在西元17-18世紀的瓷器、還有文藝復興名畫和古董傢俱，還有羅斯柴爾德私人葡萄酒收藏，當然包括 旗下自己的Château Lafite Rothschild 以及Château Mouton Rothschild 各年份的存酒，還有來自世界各地收藏珍釀。
【Rothschild Collection Waddesdon】本款酒原本設計於羅斯柴爾德家族私人宴會中使用，其釀酒葡萄產自Château Mouton & Château d’Armailhac & Clerc Milon這要歸功 Clerc Milon 釀酒團隊，包括請來【Opus One 釀酒師 Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy】一起參與釀造【Rothschild Collection Waddesdon】，特殊 Pauillac 地理葡萄地塊 ，62% Cabernet Sauvignon、28% Merlot、7% Cabernet Franc、3% Petit Verdot，所受「禮遇」與 Château Mouton 木桐堡完全一樣。唯一不同的點就是加入了【Opus One 釀酒師 Jean-Emmanuel Danjoysu】釀酒風格，年產量極少! 一般市面上很少見到!，只有特定少數，可以拿到配額! ，這瓶酒簡單來講就是跟五大 Chateau Latour 拉圖釀出一瓶【 Pauillac】，則Château Mouton Rothschild 木桐釀出一瓶【Rothschild Collection Waddesdon】專給Waddesdon，一樣意思的道理，呵呵!

Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s winemakers monitor each selected parcel in order to determine the optimum harvest date. The grapes from each parcel are then vinified separately in order to preserve the diversity and personality of each terroir and variety, and hence to keep the widest range of options for the final blend.
The nose opens on spice aromas (fenugreek, saffron) accompanied by black fruit, especially blackcurrant and blackberry, then opens up with airing on vanilla and mocha notes. After a rich and powerful attack with an attractive touch of vanilla, black fruit flavours come to the fore on the mid-palate, underpinned by a fine tannic structure, leading into a finish that lingers on coffee notes, with massive and highly elegant tannins
