CASTELLO DI MONSANTO 建於西元1740年，位於 Chianti 西北部的中心位置，也是當時義大利最具名氣的酒莊之一, 經營紡織業的Aldo Bianchi 在第二次世界大戰之前就離開了家鄉， 但在西元1960年因為參加一場婚禮而再次回到故鄉托斯卡尼, 當時參加婚禮的地點正是 Castello di Monsanto,他從窗前望出去,剎那間就被Castello di Monsanto的美景給迷住了。這般景緻對他來說就像是一見鍾情一般，於是他就在數個月後,把這塊土地買下,於西元1962年年出產了第一個年份的葡萄酒!
Castello di Monsanto 除了擁有優異的釀酒技術，她們的Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 更是年年入選WS年度百大之列, Bianchi 決定做一個長達300公尺的地下道來儲存木桶，將歷年以來的每一年的作品,完整保存在酒窖內,費時長達六年，終於在西元1992年順利完成。使得從原本18世紀就遺留下來的Monsanto酒窖連通著新酒窖，結合美感與傳統結構,儲藏超過1,300桶以上,可說是收藏著過往50年以來偉大作品的酒莊

Wine Description : 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino and Canaiolo釀製,特別採義大利著名木桶（CAMBA）用法國橡木製成的50公升大橡木桶和斯洛文尼亞橡木大桶經過18個月的大桶陳釀（其中三分之一為全新桶）。2013年份有著複雜的花香，被義大利權威“Gambero Rosso 紅蝦評鑑獲得為二個滿杯,酒標是由一位在十九世紀的義大利畫家為MONSANTO 酒莊專門繪畫的雅緻美麗油畫!

Monsanto Chianti Classico Riserva 2013Wine Spectator Tasting Notes: Pure cherry takes center stage, framed by tar, earth, tobacco and mineral elements. Vivid and elegant, showing fine intensity and equilibrium, with a lingering aftertaste.
Robert Parker Tasting Notes: With balanced and nicely-ripened fruit, the 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva comes as a beautiful surprise. This is a frank and upfront Tuscan red made from 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino and Canaiolo, aged in tonneaux and neutral barrique. The wine offers crisp lines and a linear style that gives prominence to aromas of crisp cherry, baking spice and toasted almond. This is a medium-bodied wine with polished tannins and a deep garnet-ruby color.
